Derby Day 5k Please join us for Virginia's first horse track 5k race - a festive family day at the track held in conjunction with a $1,000,000 day of thoroughbred horse racing at Colonial Downs. The race starts in front of Colonial Down's and finishes on the track with hundreds of spectators and a televised last half mile on the track jumbotron and closed circuit television. Your race registration will get you a Virginia Derby gym bag and admission to the Picnic on the Turn. |

Surfers Healing 5k Join us for Surfer’s Healing 5K at the Beach on August 16th between 4th and 5th streets on the beach at 8 AM. Immediately following the event, the nationally acclaimed Surfer’s Healing surf camp will begin on the beach. Surfers Healing is a non-profit organization based out of California and was founded by Israel and Danielle Paskowitz. Their son, Isaiah, was diagnosed with autism at age three. Like many autistic children, he often suffered from sensory overload-- simple sensations could overwhelm him. The ocean was the one place where he seemed to find respite. |
